Isobel has lived locally for 20 years and loves gardening in her spare time. She works as a leadership coach and organisational development specialist. She has many years experience of supporting several charities as a Trustee and volunteered to be our Chair of Trustees.
Dan has lived in Dorking for many years and is a keen cyclist. He is a qualified accountant and volunteered to be our Treasurer to help us keep our accounts straight and make the most of our hard earned funds.
Helen is a registered Occupational Therapist and registered Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. She worked for the NHS for 33 years as a therapist and supervisor in various psychiatric settings. Helen worked with people with a wide range of disorders including anxiety disorders, depression, psychosis and personality disorder. She helped to set up the new IAPT service in Horsham. She retired from the NHS in September 2015 and helps the garden in many ways, particularly supporting our volunteers.
Carmel is the founder of the Patchworking Garden Project. She previously worked in the health service as a GP, where her interest always lay in the area of psychological medicine. With personal experience of the effects mental ill health can have, setting up the garden as a way to support others seemed a natural choice when she stopped work. Married with 4 children, other than gardening Carmel’s interests include singing and nature.
